With a strong curiosity for the natural world and our relation to it. Jose has studied herbal medicine broadly for nearly twenty years, focusing particularly on traditional Western herbalism, folk herbalism, and evidence-based herbal interventions in pursuit of health and freedom from disease. Jose believes that medicine should be accessible to all and that the most accessible medicines grow around us. Jose sincerely believes in the power of herbal medicine to transform and promote vibrant health. In short, there is a natural remedy for all that ails us, and often, it is just outside our door. 

In this, his focus is also on the common medicinal plants growing around local bioregions in which a client may reside. His approach emphasizes the importance of food as medicine and incorporates personalized nutrition recommendations, nutritional supplements, herbal recommendations, and lifestyle changes to help clients achieve their health goals.

A greater portion of Jose’s life has been dedicated to the pursuit of health, expression, and self awareness through movement. Jose has had several exceptionally skilled teachers and coaches in Chinese Martial Arts. Jose has been studying and practicing various Chinese Martial Arts for the past 18 years and teaching for over 15 years.
