Private Movement Coaching
What is Movement Coaching?
Movement coaching sessions are custom for each individual but, in general, focus on improving range of motion, strength, flexibility, endurance, and mobility. These sessions are 30-60 minutes in duration and are suitable for rehabilitation from injury or optimization of movement efficiency. Movement coaching sessions are considered an adjunct to Integrative Functional Manual Therapy and do not replace the benefits of hands-on care.
Each session consists of three phases assessment, training, and practice.
Assessment
For movement coaching sessions to be specific, the need for a physical assessment is vital. Before training commences, gait analysis and passive and active range of motion tests will be conducted to identify areas of greatest weakness.
Training
Specific postural training, stretches, and exercises designed to remediate your areas of restriction and weakness will be taught one by one.
Practice
After training, you will be instructed to practice solo to ensure that you will be able to practice at home according to your specific plan. Further training sessions to review or improve can be made as needed.
