Integrative Functional Manual Therapy
What is Integrative Functional Manual Therapy?
Integrative Functional Manual Therapy is the use of our hands to direct force into the soft tissues of the body. This specific direct force imparts change into the soft tissues down to the cellular level.
Integrative Functional Manual Therapy sessions utilize a variety of manual therapy techniques to reduce or alleviate chronic or acute pain, improve or restore joint mobility and release previously held dysfunctions. Techniques included but not limited to are myofascial release, deep tissue, muscle energy, positional based release, lymphatic drainage, strain-counter strain, trigger point release, cranial technique, and visceral release.
The use of a far-infrared (FIR) heating pad during the session is included as a beneficial adjunct. FIR rays penetrate 1.5-2 inches below the surface level of the skin and assist in alleviating muscle and joint pain, and tension.
Who is Integrative Functional Manual Therapy for?
Integrative Functional Manual Therapy is for adults, adolescents, children, toddlers, infants, athletes, and those living a sedentary lifestyle. Integrative Functional Manual Therapy is just as much restorative as it is preventative. Sessions offer a holistically driven, hands-on method for pain management, rehabilitation, and the improvement of overall health and well-being.
